Violin bow by Arthur Thoma Circa 1930's

Octagonal Pernambuco stick, sterling silver mounted ebony frog. 

Thoma were a well-reputed bowmaking dynasty in Germany.  Arthur was born in 1872 and the son of Adolf who established the family workshop in Hohendorf, which became part of East Germany after World War II. The bow is in very good condition. 

We invite you to come to our location to try this bow with your violin. Please call ahead so that we can prepare a private room for the trial if you need.
