This magnificent instrument is made after the famous “Canon" violin by Giuseppe Guarnerius del Gesu from 1742.
Ivan Stankov is a Master Luthier, one of Bulgaria's most respected and awarded violin makers. Mr. Stankov studied with graduates of the Cremona School in Italy and competes in luthierie competitions in Europe, including Cremona, Italy's Trianalle and the European Eufonia Competition. He has won several medals for his violins, violas and celli including the Silver Medal at the 9th Annual ANLAI International Contemporary Violin Making Competition in 2018.
Stankov uses traditional Italian methods of construction, and select well-seasoned European spruce and Balkans maple tone wood. The warm, deep, clear, yet powerful tone is rich in nuances and beautiful ringing overtones making this violin a true solo instrument to be greatly appreciated by professional musicians.
